Marketing. The number of United fans who still fawn over him shows you exactly why they did it. If you think about United as a brand more than a club you can understand many of their decisions better.

I get that however not like UTD need the money, and even if get more keep spending it poorly e.g. Ronaldo

Been our issue most of the season. Not even slightly clinical. Should have won 3 more games in the league but for poor finishing. Scraped our last EL game by a 93rd minute goal with an xG of something like 5.

Rashford isn't clinical and the more time he has the worse he is. Ronaldo has fallen off a cliff in his finishing and brings the whole team does as he sticks up the place. Martial has shown more quality than the other 2 in the 30 minutes or so he has managed to stay fit but whats the point of a striker who is never available.
