Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [19th - 22nd August 2022]

I think its a given you'll play 3 at the back, sit deep and try to hit long balls seeing how well Palace did against us in spells, you lack the ability to press us like Fulham so it makes sense to me. If you try to play like you did against Brentford and Brighton you'll get ripped a new one.

If it didn't go ahead..............how much of a case fo pool have for a 3-0 w.o?

It's pretty well known that protests are planned and united CAN do something to prevent it.

If Man U cant guarantee the safety of opposition players (and fans this time) like the last occasion, I dont see how anyone can glibly dismiss the notion that we should get an automatic 3-0 win and the points. As I said before, nothing wrong with protesting, its the thin line between a protest and a essentially a riot. Hopefully it wont come to that though and any protests are peaceful

Well, ten Hag just has to get them set up to stay in this match or not go to pieces if we lose an early goal (or two). Ironically Solskaer managed this in big games a few times. It wasn't pretty but ensured that we weren't humbled. After the Spurs hammering at OT when Martial was sent off we actually had a period of being much more resolute albeit with McFred or Fratic clogging up the midfield. This is a big test for the manager. Can he elicit any sort of response from these players? If he can't then it should convince him to get rid of a few more.

Liverpool created quite a lot of chances vs Palace so I don't think their form is that bad. However, if ten Hag can neutralise the full backs that goes a long way to stopping that chance creation. Not much was coming from Fabinho, Milner or the young lad Elliot.

Can we please stop with this talk of Liverpool losing or United drawing? I need a massive haul of points in the Fantasy League please!! Allisson penalty save and CS, Trent CS and two assists and a Salah hat trick please!

Can't see anything but a Liverpool win tonight tbh.

Liverpool are getting underentimed I feel. Had plenty of chances Vs palace. United are one of the easiest teams to currently play against and I don't think they will be able to stop the full backs. Based on the Brentford evidence anyway.
