Im not going to blow smoke up Arsenal just to please people like yourself. If I dont think Arsenal played well (Palace for eg) and won then ill say exactly that and back it up objectively.

Some of the Arsenal fans on here don't help themselves either to be fair. Anyway, 9 from 3 is unheard of for a start to the season. Next 5 games I'd expect 10+ points but Ocotber will be the proof of the pudding. I see lots more points being dropped by Liverpool and City which definitely opens the door a fraction.

I did get nice odds on Jesus top scorer and Arsenal for top 2. My unfounded optimism is back!

Superb performance from Newcastle and a cracking game. I posted on the very first page of this thread that all I hoped for was the team put in the effort which they more than did. Pity they couldn't hold on for the 3 points but results against City don't shape the season of many teams. I still hold some hope we can get one or two more attacking players in as beyond the first 11 that side is pretty weak. When a game is there to be won at this stage in the season and best you can do is bring on Longstaff and Wood then you are going to have problems when injuries and suspensions hit. We are still improving, I think it took us until December last season to amass this many points. I shudder to think how quickly Bruce's Newcastle would have wilted yesterday.

By the way, that point away at Brighton last week is looking like a very good result too, even if the performance wasn't.
 
Think we are in for a very special season.

Excellent players throughout and Speical managers

Liverpool and Mancity should be clear of the chasing pack but probably not the massive points Tallys they have produced for the past two season.

Ahh so if I say we won't compete and /or win the title. I'm a hater.

If I say we deserved to beat Palace, I should pipe down and stop praising arsenal as the best team in the world?

Hopefully. I can't remember when the last time there was more than two teams still fighting for the title by end of April

He’s quite simply trying to say that when we opposition fans don’t think that Arsenal are the second coming of Christ after every win, it’s got nothing to do with a hatred of Arsenal, perhaps we just don’t think it was quite the performance the Arsenal fans did.

Recently, whenever anyone has dared do that, certain Arsenal fans have taken it very personally and claimed that people hate Arsenal which is complete rubbish.

And neither does any arsenal fan here think that also which is my point.

No arsenal fan here think we are all of a sudden gunna win the title after winning our first 3 games.

Would make sense - our front 3 will be rapid but small, so in theory it's the sort of game in which Martinez and Varane should excel. In theory.

With this much notice the police should be able to clear it. I mean honestly I have no idea what the fans think will happen. The glazers have run the club awfully and made huge amounts from it even ignoring the massive increase in overall value to the asset. They would be fools to sell.
 
I haven't seen any plans to actually get the game called off, but you never know with unruly large crowds...

Casemiro is being unveiled before kick off (like we did with Varane) - that'll be interesting. :cry:

Given the backdrop and expectation that we'll get smashed, we might do OK.

Need a colossal improvement on the past 2 performances to even stand a chance of a draw though.
