Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [22nd - 24th October 2022]

Pretty fair result on the whole, a loss would have been harsh.

Not the most pleasant of games. Brilliant from Casemiro though. Fairly pleased with that in the end.

Westham, Fulham and Villa before world cup. All winnable games. Hopefully we will be in top 4 by then. Chelsea have only played ourselves and Spurs. Hopefully Arsenal can put them to bed.

Our league position is a bit different as we have already played, City, Arsenal, Pool. Chelsea haven't.

Casemiro is earning his transfer fee now he's settled in, showing his class all over the pitch.

Eriksen has been poor. I'd start Fred over him.

Antony, well the team are clearly intentionally not playing wide and cutting inside, but he needs to use his pace and try and get a cross in sometimes if only so he's not 100% predictable.

Rashford's useless against teams that sit deep and don't give him space to run onto.

Problem is that no one is there for the crosses. I think that once we get a better striker we will change how we play.

Ronaldo would get on the end of crosses but he completely wrecks the way we play to the point that we don't get in the positions to create the chances for him.

Keane was being deliberately provocative and a bit if a %^&.
I reckon a fair proportion of United fans want Ronaldo to leave. It's not worth the circus anymore.

Was thinking today that Auba just looks wrong in Chelsea #9. Can't quite put my finger on a good reason why, it just looks wrong.
And it's not a bias thing, Cesc made the same move (Arsenal to Chelsea via Barca) and didn't look that wrong.

Also, when he tried to control/flick a through-ball in mid-air, when Gary Neville got all confused about what he was trying to do, it was pretty obvious to me.
He basically tried and failed to pull off a cushioned control move like Dennis Bergkamp, which presumably he will have seen immortalised in a statute outside Emirates Stadium.
