So VAR got involved in yesterdays penalty decision and only judges whether it was in the box. Not if it was a foul or not.

Laughable
Like the Pickford incident, they've changed their story on this. They first told journo's that they didn't check if it was a foul however they're now saying they did check if it was a foul. It's quite alarming how they can't even get their stories straight at the moment.

We shouldn't be that surprised though. It got brushed under the carpet at the time but 3 seasons back (pre VAR) John Moss put his foot in it during a Liverpool - Spurs game. Spurs were awarded a penalty but the lino flagged for offside - the big question was whether Lovren deliberately played the ball to play Kane onside. Moss was clearly caught on camera saying he had no idea and was then heard asking the 4th official whether he saw anything on the monitors around the dug out (which of course was a big no no) and then proceeded to guess and give the penalty. After the game the PGMOL came out with a bare faced lie, saying that Moss saw the incident clearly and made the call himself and was simply misguided by asking the 4th official to check the TV pictures.

If Everton do go on to lose, that means every side in the league has lost at least 1 in their first 5-6 games, doesn't it?

It's difficult to see any side in the league having a long run of games without a loss this year.
