And they aren’t the only ones Chelsea in 15/16 went from 87 points to 50 the following year. Leicester 81 to 44. Blackburn 89 to 61. So this really isn’t that big a drop off considering they weren’t even title winners compared to those listed.

Might not have won the title but we still got 92 points...

It's harder than ever to consistently be near the top in the EPL. It's clearly taken a lot out of the team. Same as City are no where near their best but have better depth. Arsenal will be the same as Liverpool, win the league this year and won't be able to sustain a consistent challenge, they won't spend on the required depth. Liverpool have suffered not having Barca and Real with seemingly endless pots of cash. Or they would have offloaded Salah at the right time for an absolute fortune and used the money for a rebuild with the right buys. The only real options now are to sell to an EPL club which makes little sense.

No one is safer than Klopp in the league, he won't get sacked.

you’re forgetting about squad age though. Liverpool squad last few years has been prime age and is now aging. Arsenal are the youngest team in the league. They might not need to invest as heavily as Liverpool do over the next few years. A couple of new players each season could suffice. Liverpool need half a team pretty much now.

Nah this is pretty much like when Leicester won the league. The main players are well off it. City seem to want to give it up for free. This is nothing like the Liverpool/City head to head banging in wins after wins. Arsenal have this in the bag, as I said over and over City look far more likely to give up points and they have, they will continue doing it too. Not that you can fault Arsenal anymore than you could Leicester. You are doing what you have too.

Liverpool will be a stronger team than Arsenal next year. Rice for 100m doesn't seem like good business to me for a team that traditionally gets picked apart for their best players or won't pay anything like the wages of the other top 6 teams. Arsenal are nearer Villa and Leicester for wages spent than they are even Spurs (if the figures can be believed).

1. Manchester United – £222,984,000
2. Chelsea – £169,720,000
3. Manchester City – £163,060,000
4. Liverpool – £141,782,000
5. Tottenham – £101,344,000
6. Arsenal – £85,490,000
7. Leicester City – 78,780,000
8. Aston Villa – £75,232,000

You’re begin to sound a bit bitter now fella.

How can you just sit there and insist Liverpool will have a stronger team than us next season? How could you possibly state that as fact, unless you know something the rest of us don’t.

Liverpool will be better than arsenal next season?

I know im an arsenal fan but i think most neutrals would laugh at that

On what basis are liverpool likely to be better than arsenal next season?

Their midfield is shot your bitter for sure

If you would have said Arsenal would win the league this season, last season I imagine you'd get a similar reaction tbh. It's hardly a wild shout to suggest a team that has posted multiple 90+ seasons in the past few years could do it again.

Not under Klopp imo. The man’s had his time and done what he can. Think he’s out of steam tbh.
