Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [26th - 27th Dec 2020]

Can't really complain about the result. About fair all things considered.

I disagree, we had far the better clear cut chances and Rashford is culpable for poor finishing. The commentators are waxing lyrical about the keeper but he's just making himself big and Rasford just hits it at him. Plus the header right at the start of the game.

A massively missed opportunity today and Leicester have been poor at home, plus their first goal was from people sitting off Barnes.

I do agree with Savage though. Leicester are a bigger club than Arsenal now as are Spurs. Despite of silverware.
They're not. Leicester have a better side right now and as a club they're functioning better but they're not a bigger club. Facilities, finances, history, Arsenal are far ahead and thanks to those things they'll eventually get things right and their side will be better than your Leicester's and Everton's.

£ is key to sustainable success and Leicester are just too far behind Arsenal and the other top sides in that respect. Leicester have done really well and are punching above their weight but to close the financial gap on the clubs above them they'll need to do even more and for a prolonged period. Spurs started from a stronger base than Leicester but it still took them 6-7 years of qualifying for the CL almost every season and a huge investment into their stadium to close the gap on the other 5 (and they're still a long way behind 3 of them). Unfortunately for Leicester the battle for CL spots is even hard now than then.

I agree and perhaps worded what I meant incorrectly but if Leicester continue their trajectory they will end up above Arsenal. Spurs are a bigger club than Arsenal in everything bar history and has been quite the transformation in such a short period of time.

Spurs are not a bigger club than Arsenal. Just because we’re going through a sticky patch, doesn’t automatically mean Spurs are bigger.
