God I hate VAR. If it takes that long to determine his armpit hair was blowing at a 45 degree angle due to someone farting in his direction, you should just give the damn goal.

Ridiculous offside. They should do it like Rugby. If the VAR refs can't tell if it is or isn't offside with the naked eye then stick with the on field decision. VAR needs scrapping altogether I think. It was supposed to cut out the controversy but seems to create more.

All these shouts about time limits and or 'if it's close...' won't solve anything. There's literally no point in having technology and then not making the right decision. You're still wasting time, you're still taking all the joy out of the moment for supporters and we're going to end up with wrong decisions and even more controversy. Imagine if after 1-2 minutes they decided it was too close and allowed the goal and then 15 mins later Sky show it was offside. Villa fans will be happy but what about West Ham fans? And we've still had the delay etc.

Either use it and get as many correct calls as possible or scrap it altogether.
Forwards being the direction towards goal.
Yea, I know which was forwards was but the defender was behind him. How could he pull him forwards. You're either pushing forwards or pulling back.

More time is spent debating var or discuss how to fix it, which is the problem in itself

If it doesn't improve asap I'm honestly starting to feel like it should be ditched.

Least when it wasn't present and s ref got it wrong you could some what understand depending on the situation but when they get it wrong now and they have var it's just absurd

Carragher is so ******* annoying, shame he wasn't sacked instead of suspended.

Edit: Neville's bang on about the refs, they'll say it was checked to cover their own incompetent asses.

For all the good Grealish does it must get pretty frustrating for Villa fans, all he's interested in is drawing fouls, he must get a thrill from it. He would do great at Burnley, they would take advantage of all the set pieces.
He could definitely do more to stay on his feet, that one with the 10 second delayed reaction was terrible.

So the foul on Watkins was checked by VAR (if we believe the PGMOL) and they decided it wasn't a clear and obvious error. Assuming we believe them and it was checked then they're just making things up as they go along. It's literally become luck of the draw if they overturn anything now. Some days the most minor foul will be awarded by VAR and another day you can put a player in a headlock and it won't be overturned.

He's the best at the world at it. He's been fouled 40 times in 9 games, on top of his 150-160 fouls last season.
