I had high hopes Jones was going to be our Pulisic but he seems to be morphing into a solid all-rounder that doesn't excel at anything.

He's only 19, got plenty of time to excel. Just going through a tough few games after having some blinding games.
TBF I think I've described our whole midfield, Thiago aside. When we had Gerrard, Alonso and Masch each was phenomenal at different things which complemented everyone else, right now everyone is pretty similar.
That being said, Jones is playing deeper than he was so that's going to take some getting used to.
I'd love us to sign a Benayoun type player, would help us so much right now.

Meh crap, not much from us, salah and Bobby but messed up chances they have had.
Over all not good enough from us, far too eager to cross at every possible moment instead of playing it to feet.

Henderson and Fabinho are two of the best midfielders in the league.

Yes but you wouldnt say they actually excelled at anything, though they have plenty of good attributes, they are just well rounded solid players.
