Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [29th April - 4th May 2023]

What do you guys make of this Martin Tyler racism story?

Apparently he’s been racist by describing Son’s tackle as a “touch of the martial arts”

Racism or overreaction?
Overreaction. Not every martial art in the world is of Asian origin for a start.

Having said that, he should still be sent to pasture for being annoying :)

Klopp apologising for being a massive bell again. When you are apologising for your behaviour every couple of months perhaps you aren't learning from your mistakes...

I used to really like Klopp (Liverpool thing aside) but he's just irritating these days. I'm all for managers being fiery/passionate but he just comes across as an immature idiot at times.

Coupled with Liverpool's downturn in form this season, his career is at a bit of a crossroads...

I think this is how most people feel about him now. Always liked his passion and hes a very very good manager but hes a good way to being thoroughly unlikeable at the moment. One of those people who loves to act all jovial and chummy but is a bit of a **** when things aren't going well for them.

It's so hard to call who will get points in the last few games because some teams won't care as their season will be effectively over. So many games looked unwinnable at the end of last season but Leeds and Everton dug themselves out.

true. Never underestimate teams going to the beach. Our last match is west ham. Fingers crossed they don't turn up

Big question is will Arsenal collapse like a flan in a cupboard now that the title is slipping away. Will Chelsea remember their squad cost more than a small country's GDP and actually score tonight. Big game.

You don't like it because he's doing it at Liverpool or are just oblivious to how he was before. Some of the things he done at Dortmund were 100x worse than anything he's done while with Liverpool, like the below:

Funnily enough most of us didn't watch him that closely when he was at Dortmund and base our views on his behaviour since hes been at Liverpool. For most of the time he has been the most likeable part of the club so its got nothing to do with who he manages. Hes just a bit of a **** and its showing more and more it seems.

Also, his middle name is Norbert. Now I can't take him seriously :p

Which is what I said. The whole 'I used to like him but....' stuff makes no sense because you either didn't know him or are only taking exception as he's doing it at Liverpool because he was far worse before than he is now. Klopp's always ranted at officials, long before he joined us and continually during his time with us.

He's hardly the only manager to do it too but he's one of the only ones that will hold his hands up afterwards and apologise I do think it always looks worse when he's doing it too because he's so big and has those massive teeth on him. Watch his press-conferences and see how he is with journalists asking stupid questions - he regularly loses patience with them but will apologise later, unlike others who will whisper to his PA to ban them.

I love how Klopp's bottom teeth don't line up with his top. Proper horse mouth. He fits in perfectly at Liverpool. :P
