Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [30th Dec - 1st Jan 2023]

Good day of results as a United fan. Can go up to third and only be 4 points within City with our home game coming up.

I can see Arsenal winning the league now. Despite how OP Haaland is City always look like they have a weakness in then. Arsenal have been a machine tbh despite Arteta.

Isn't Arteta the reason we are where we are at the moment? I was never convinced by him but this season with the squad he's built has been impressive.

Yeah, you have to give Arteta a lot of credit for where Arsenal are. He has been on shaky ground but made good decisions and their recruitment has been great. They are a well coached side to boot. While Ole flattered to deceive, Arsenal are deserving of their praise and their results.

I think if they are still a few points clear when we hit 30 games I will believe they can win the league.

As for City, I think that they are almost too good for their own good. Teams simply shut up shop. Its almost better to have teams believe they can have a go at you. I think teams still fancy themselves a bit against Arsenal and that gives them a chance to play their game. Teams know that you beat City by defending for your life, riding a little luck and hitting them on the break.

I don't know I see a similar thing to Leicester City happening this season. Arsenal have come out of the gates on fire and momentum counts for a lot. It has come out of the blue as Arsenal bottled it last season and were extremely poor the previous 2 under Arteta. This season they look the strongest team out of anyone by a country mile. They lost to us but it was a proper spawny victory on United's behalf.

This last half hour is a great example of the difference between Jesus and Eddie. Eddie completely anonymous while the game passes him by.

Brighton are looking the better team at the moment.

Brighton a bit unlucky in this match.
I'm not convinced by Ramsdale. At some point in the season your keeper earns you 5-6 points and he doesn't inspire me. Can't fault the rest of the team though.
