Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [3rd - 8th February 2023]

They won’t appeal it because it won’t get overturned for the obvious reasons. His own manager said he crossed the line.

Its not a ****ing optical illusion. There are at least 2 stills on here with his hands clearly round his neck. Was it worthy of a red? Probably not but let's not pretend it didn't happen.

They are not they are grabbing his shirt collar. If he wasn't wearing black gloves it would have been clear as day where his hands were. You can even see in that still his belly showing because his shirt has been tugged on.

You clearly see here he is grabbing his shirt to stop him from getting involved. They even hug after. Lol

There were also plenty of others in there worthy of a red or yellow. It is simply a case of Casemiro being targeted in the VAR room because of how essential he is. More than likely bitter fans of other clubs.

The only way that will get overturned is if the other player writes a nice letter to them and says "Mister Casemiro was in fact just adjusting my collar and didn't have has hands around my throat". Otherwise you just run the serious risk he is banned for 4 games.

Regardless of what the reality is, they won't change the punishment. Hes experienced enough to know that putting your hands up near someones throat is dangerous and stupid.

I do think that referees should watch replays at full speed far more than they do in these situations. The whole thing with Hughes and Casemiro was about 2-3s and they hugged a few seconds afterwards.

Always a conspiracy ehh?

It wouldn't be different. Unless in absolutely extreme circumstances then violent conduct has always carried a set 3 game ban.

It’s all about intent though, if you chin a player on the pitch your going to get more than a 3 match ban, it should be the same if you have both hands round a player’s throat

What I did like about Casemiro was the way he took the red.

While the others like Bruno and Fred were crowding the ref, he just said nothing, looked disappointed and walked off. No tantrums, abuse or backchat. Took it like a top pro should. Refs decision is final and he respected that.

The video that you put up shows this! It's as clear as day!

It's not. Violent conduct has a set 3 match ban and there has only ever been a couple of extreme instances where the FA has increased it.
