I agree. At times under Ole, when the stars aligned and the opposition played exactly how we wanted them to and our players were all in purple patches we looked good... Until the next week where we would lose to some utter dross at the bottom of the table who suddenly looked like peak Barca.
Like it or not, if you want a consistent team then you have to prioritise long term over the short. If we want to sort this mess out it is going to take years of work getting in the right people above the team and replacing the bad ones inside the team. Honestly, no one should be off limits. Bruno, De Gea, Sancho, Maguire, Varane, Rashford.
If they need to be moved on then so be it.
I can handle the lack of quality or being outplayed by City. They are easily one of if not the best sides in the world right now. What I can't take is how poorly we applied ourselves. City worked harder, smarter and for the whole 90 minutes.
I'm sure that I, like most United fans will be back watching us again for the next game or in a few weeks but there will come a point where fans are just drained and sick of it. We aren't Burnley, operating on a shoestring budget. There is no excuse.
