Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [5th - 6th November 2022]

Spurs should've had that first half penalty but been insanely divey once again.

Two fairly garbage teams there and a bad match

Awful performance, undeserved result but 3 points is all that matters.

Nunez had a good game, some dodgy touches but always a threat and worked his ass off down our left, Salah was incredible in front of goal and Konate had a good game at the back but Fabinho and Trent, yet again, utterly sucked. They're both lucky we have no viable alternatives for their positions because neither should be anywhere near this team.

Very much a game of two halves. First half I thought we played very well, looking like we were going to open Spurs up whenever we got on the ball and having lots of joy in wide areas. The only time Spurs looked like creating anything was when we were sloppy playing it out from the back. Second half the clash of systems really switched in Spurs favour with Dier and whoever on the left doubling up with their wingback, creating overloads that we struggled to deal with. At our best we'd have picked them off on the break but we managed to grind it out and hold on.

Hopefully we can find a way to pick up another 3 points next weekend and then restart after the WC with at least one of Diaz or Jota back because our shape really suffers without a natural left forward.
