Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [5th - 6th November 2022]

Feel like Leicester are starting to play well this season. Will probably be enough to save them, however next season could be trouble if Tielemans leaves and Maddison is bought, which I think both will happen.

Maddison has been great again. I don’t understand the talk of him not making the WC squd, he should be starting for England. Very little have better technical ability but Southgate be will be Southgate. Hasselbaink saying he shouldn’t be going as too many better players? Who! Also Barnes would be a good player for England too.

Wish they had shown the Leeds game today, looks epic on MOTD.
Some big games tomorrow .... what the hell is Chris Sutton babbling on about Man U?

"I am not a petty man, though, so I am not going to tip Manchester United to lose here just to upset their fans any further."

He says Newcastle are the real united or something along those lines. Kn*b.

Jack Grealish gets away with absolute murder considering his fee. Darwin Nunez has a goal every 90 odd mins and gets call Andy Carroll lmao.

I guess City are irrelevant to most so no one cares.

I agree and it was interesting listening to City fans on Talksport yesterday slaughter O'Hara while the god awful Agbonlahor defends his old Villa mate. The City fans repeatedly stating the 100m doesn't matter and people are ignoring all the hard work he does to get the ball to the players who then provide the assist. That he was assisting the assister.

I think that's rubbish, they paid 100m to have him run at defences, get assists and score goals. Even in the Euro's when England fans kept calling for him to come on, I thought he was massively over rated. He was only marginally useful when he came on and that's against lower standard of opposition.

Personally I think he's been a flop and I'd want City to sell him to fund Bellingham if I was a fan of theirs.

The problem with Grealish, he went from being the big fish in a little pond, to a small fish in a huge lake.

If Grealish is £100M, Maddison is £150M+ easily.

How is that a problem? When he was at Villa he was the focal point but he was marked by 2 or 3 players a time and could still make things happen. Being at City he's one of 6 players that need to be ganged up on! He has more space, more time on the ball and is gash. He doesn't strike me as someone who would choke or lack confidence, so more likely is he was never that good in the first place. 2022's David Bentley.
