Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [6th - 8th May 2023]

40 odd seconds is like fast forward to a Newcastle supporter.
Ha absolutely.

Antony Taylor, the same ref that didnt think this was a foul:

Atrocious ref.

Steve Bruce really did a number on poor @woppy101

Can’t wait for this afternoon.

Arsenal will be out for blood as we embarrassed them last year in the this fixture on the ole Amazon TV show.

I’m more concerned if Longstaff isn’t fit yet. He’s been Bruno’s legs until he can get that ankle looked at.

Yeah, I have proper Stockholm syndrome after the Ashley/Bruce era

I think it'll be quite a close game, feel we can really exploit the fact there is no saliva with both our strikers hitting a rich vein of form.

Question will be if our defence keep them out, we've been great defensively so far, however when Longstaff is missing it opens us up. Looking forward to it.

It’s a toss up in team selection.

Isak proved he can play anywhere

Do we unleash both Wilson and Isak?

Wilson been saying for a while he’s wants to play with Isak and no wonder lol

He’s been putting the ball on the plate for our players.

Team selection all depends on Longstaff.

If he’s fit it will be Isak up front and Joelinton starting out wide.

If he is missing then I can see Howe maybe starting both Isak and Wilson.

I can understand why he’s reluctant to do so incase Wilson breaks down on the run in.

A young back up striker is a must for next season.

Yeah I feel that and a if they can sign someone else in the Longstaff position, that's really going to push us further. He does so much unnoticed work that lets BG and the others free, add in goals that he could have got and many of our earlier draws would have been wins.

Have to feel they'll make that a priority in the summer, along with another top attacking midfielder.

Arsenal and West Ham wins today please :)

I can feel Westham doing us. Apart from City (Lets face it everyone loses to them) they have had a decent last few games despite losing a lot. We have been poor for a while now and we just cannot score a goal. Hopefully we will get something different but I worry for the worse.

Hope so, plus I got 10/1 on Arsenal and West Ham to win , so £100 would be a nice bonus

If United lose... can see Pool taking 4th. United won't do well in the CL anyway.
Perhaps, but it’s more about attracting the right players and building. As mentioned in the Utd thread, I think this is a very big game for us. Need to get a result and not rely solely on home form.

We need 3 wins or 9 points.

Westham A
Wolves H
Bournemouth A
Chelsea H
Fulham H

Fulham will want revenge for the FA cup which lets be fair if they didn't have a melt down it could have gone either way. Westham, Wolves and Bournemouth are all fighting relegation so anything can happen there. Chelsea are about the only team I feel confident in picking up 3 points.

If we do lose today the pressure will be immense. If we win today however then I think top 4 is sorted.

I fail to see how United will not do well in the Champions League? ETH record is all about doing well in the Champions League.
