Its a shame, im a ManU fan but have always liked the rivalry with Leeds. Going from CL semi to relegations and all that went on after is tough.A bit like it's pointless if you have nothing to strive for in the PL other than the title, unless you're part of the 'big 6' all you can hope for is staying up and hopefully Europa. I suspect we will challenge for the Championship and like I said it will be nice to win more games, but this dreamland that is the PL isn't all that it is made out to be. I mean look at the most of you in the top half, mainly peed off every week

Pretty sure that Toon are away at Chelsea that day. If they both get to the playoff final thats a day to be staying of the LNER trains
Yeah I've felt that way for a while. Utterly pointless apart from that one time Leicester shocked the league. Other than that it's who is spending the most money. And if you get a trillion pounds from a new owner you can't spend it because they have locked it down to make it almost impossible to legitimately spend it. Then we mock other leagues for not being competitive, our is just as pony and locked down. Plenty of rich owners in the league but they can’t get their cash into their clubs.
New rules were rushed in as soon as our takeover went through and it seems that we are trying to abide by them.
Our new Shirt sponsor for next season is rumoured to be 25million. What we are aloud and seen as fair market value. Less than half than some of the top 6.(This is still a rumour)
More than treble that we are receiving now tho.
There’s still a lot of wriggle room for Newcastle to spend. Training ground sponsors and probably renaming St.James at a later date to get more cash flowing in.
Newcastle will probably have to go for short team deals that increase as we build.
