Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [6th - 8th May 2023]

Don't think we'll be getting out of relegation zone. Taking young one to Newcastle game on Saturday. Might be last live premier league football he sees for some time!

I'd spent 16 years waiting to get to the big time and it's been a big disappointment. Even even under Bielsa in the first season, it was just stress and the good players you knew would get snapped up and the following seasons would be a struggle. Considering everyone's mood revolves around results each week, it's been a miserable 2 years; we've been there, done that, and I have no desire to come back up!

Doesn’t football become a bit pointless if you don't want to be promoted?

A bit like it's pointless if you have nothing to strive for in the PL other than the title, unless you're part of the 'big 6' all you can hope for is staying up and hopefully Europa. I suspect we will challenge for the Championship and like I said it will be nice to win more games, but this dreamland that is the PL isn't all that it is made out to be. I mean look at the most of you in the top half, mainly peed off every week :D

Everton, Leicester and Leeds next games are against Man City, Liverpool and Newcastle respectively, cant see any of them getting anything there, so if Forest can get something against Chelsea in their next game that might just be enough to keep them up
