Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [8th - 10th October 2022]

Same old Everton. Gutless and spineless in big games. Gray was shocking and Gordon has been **** in everygame this season. Shame Chelsea never snapped him up.

Two losses of possession in midfield gifted a very average United team two goals and the win.

I think beating Everton is a good sign. We've struggled there in recent years. Hopefully the tide is turning, the trouble is, will the management be happy with this and not invest until it's an emergency and we over pay.

The FA are investigating the incident between Gabriel and Henderson. Apparently Henderson said something shall we say, disagreeable to Gabriel. Hopefully it’s just a misunderstanding but Gabi did seem to snap badly at something he said.
By apparently you're talking about some mad twitter nonsense. Arteta himself didnt think it was anything serious.

Well all I know is that the FA are investigating the incident
Right but the "apparently Jordan Henderson said something" is purely based off some Arsenal fans going wild off a players reaction.

Arteta ""It was an incident that happened. Whatever happens on that pitch stays on that pitch.""

Yes because an offside leading up to a goal can get the goal chalked off (Ronaldo) but an intentional handball cannot. (Antonio).
I'm not sure I understand the point you're making Adam. I think we can all agree that this attacking handball rule has caused more harm than good but I don't get the comparison with offsides. The one thing that works with VAR and the only thing I'd keep is offsides, once the new tech is introduced it will hopefully be even smoother.

If your taking about the Hawkeye system, it’s supposed to be almost instantaneous
Yes and no. The tech is instant however the VAR still has to check to make sure the attacker is either active or not. There will be no more line drawing though.

Yes VAR got it wrong on a few occasions, it's in the past though. I'm more concerned that he thought Hendo (who has been abysmal in a 3 when pressed for 18 months) would work in a 2 against a team that will press. He needs to start dropping 'captains' that are well out of form.

There's another boy who looks like he's had his head turned and sulking. Another Ross Barkley in the making.

How do you spend nearly 200 million and sit bottom of the table then get given a new contract.
