Decided to watch Spurs vs Wham. First half was tidy enough however it's got pretty scrappy. Main reason for watching was to take another look at Rice. Everytime I've watched him play I've been a tad underwhelmed. He's tidy enough and positionally quite good but I'm not seeing much else that would warrant a large transfer fee. Not the passing range of a Carrick, the engine of a Keane or the goalscoring threat of a Robson. Of course I romance about a bygone age but if he's the best young CDM in England then I'm not seeing it. Anyone else rate him?

I don't rate lampard as a manager yet as too early to judge but he isn't wrong about the Everton players they have been dross under more than one manager.
