Perhaps, but its very logical in my mind and I was actually saying it right from the start of the season, not just when we lost. I wanted to know what the new manager would bring to the table when things were going wrong and now I've seen it, that he at least does opt to twist rather than just stick with whats on the pitch until the 85th minute, so its good to see that he will at least attempt to roll the dice. This is pure copium
No, it’s not logical at all. You could well be challenging for title after the start you’ve had, but suddenly a defeat is a good thing as it shows what the manager can do when it goes wrong?Perhaps, but its very logical in my mind and I was actually saying it right from the start of the season, not just when we lost. Perhaps its a "weird" take but we're all different people who look at things in different ways

Thats your view on it and thats fine, I have my way of looking at football and you have yours, I'm ok with that. Been supporting Liverpool for longer than most people in the forum have even known what football is, so I'm happy with the way I view the game and the club. Encountered lots of people over the many decades who have different thoughts over football and have always been happy for them to have their way of thinking and me have mine, never needed them to explain themselves to me and I've never needed to explain myself to them, different strokes for different folks and all thatNo, it’s not logical at all. He did change it and it affected nothing, you still didn’t score and lost. Where’s the positives in that lol?
Didnt necessarily have to be this match, could have been any match really, is just about seeing how this manager does when things go wrong in comparison to what other managers have done when things go wrong. Its the sort of thing I like to know sooner rather than later and now I am able to know, so now its a question answered.I kind of see where you're coming from in wanting to know how a manager handles adversity. However, you lost me at wanting that over a good win.
And what did you learn?Didnt necessarily have to be this match, could have been any match really, is just about seeing how this manager does when things go wrong in comparison to what other managers have done when things go wrong. Well there are a few things that I am interested in when things go wrong, 1st off, what does the manager attempt (if anything) during the game, does it work, does he then try something else if the plan B doesnt work. Many would argue that one of Klopps biggest issues for example, was a lack of a decent plan B and virtually no plan C. So that was the first thing I wanted to know in regard of a new manager. And what did you learn?
apart from salah is just as undroppable when he's having a stinker under Slott as he was under Klopp
So what was different in the last 20 minutes opposed to the 1st 70?Well there are a few things that I am interested in when things go wrong, 1st off, what does the manager attempt (if anything) during the game, does it work, does he then try something else if the plan B doesnt work. Such as?Then there are some post match things that I'd like to know about a manager, such as how they handle things after a loss, what do they say, how do they come across.
Sadly, wasnt much difference , bar the last 5 mins or so, in the last 20. The one plus I was able to take was that this manager at least does make comparatively early substitutions rather than waiting til the 85th minute. So what was different in the last 20 minutes opposed to the 1st 70?

If its anything like recent history, 1 wont be enough...10 might not even be enough1 shot and 1 goal Everton.
Making subs on/or around the 60th is so much par the course for managers that its a meme these days. As Pigeon touched on they were totally the wrong subs attacking wise as both Gakpo and Nunez were anonymous in the game time they had (expected for Gakpo but not so much for Nunez). personally i dont think anything can be learned from the loss re SlotSadly, wasnt much difference , bar the last 5 mins or so, in the last 20. "We lost the ball so many times in simple situations. That is the story of the game.", I think anyone that watched the game could see that, i would say if anything he is hamstrung (like Klopp) by not being able to take off Salah - although Dom was **** poor at times as well.As for the immediate post match, I like to see what the managers take on things is, are they honest, do they see what went wrong, is there an indication from their demeanour, eyes, words, body language, that they might learn from this, or do they blame the length of the grass, sun in the players eyes or that they dont play well on even date-numbered Saturdays.
