You can't be a homophobe because an imaginary god says you canOh yeah. Dont see how following your religion makes you a homophobe, but there we go.

In private yes, but he's not in private is he. He represents the club, would you want a racist playing for us if it was their religion? You can hold whatever beliefs you want. Well, apart from the idea that there aren't 100 different genders because thats scientific fact...
You don't have to agree with him but he is entitled to his views. I am not religious at all but I fully support his right to choose not to wear a rainbow armband or hoody if it conflicts with his religion.

Does that logic stretch to murder?Oh yeah. Dont see how following your religion makes you a homophobe, but there we go.
I would suggest that people believing that other people shouldn't exist is wrong personally. What does that say if we have a player who is gay? What does it say to our gay fans? Either you accept everyone that has a right to be a part of this club or it's fanbase or you don't belong here. He's been a great player but if you have dark age beliefs that infringe on other people existing then you can go play in one of the countries that celebrates that imo.I think that depends on what you deem is racist as we have seen a number of times recently in football. What is seen as racist is...broad.
I would suggest that making players support things they don't isn't something football clubs should be doing and making someone who is religious wear something that is counter to their views is wrong.
Of course not, but it’s quite a difference between not wearing a rainbow jacket and murdering someone.Does that logic stretch to murder?
I think if you follow a group that supports X then that makes you a supporter of X. So if the religion is homophobic and you support the religion then the logical view is that you're homophobic.Of course not, but it’s quite a difference between not wearing a rainbow jacket and murdering someone.

Soooo pantsOh good grief can we can we not have woke wars in the football forum....

You’ve been working on that one since it happened haven’t you?Kyle Walker for the Fallon D'floor award for 2024
Black people are disgusting and are below me. Homosexuals are disgusting and are below me. It is a minefield this issue but if a Man U player was wearing a swastika on his shirt, we wouldn't be ok with it. It's "his religion" is handwaving the issue away i feel.
