Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [14th - 16th December 2024]

True. Thats whats got me thinking. A lot of press about Mens mental health over the last year or so, this is no different. Ok, its football and hes got money to quit and live a fantastic stress free life with his wife and kids (I assume hes got both?!), but I compare to a millionaire, suddenly losing everyting and going broke. No job, no house, wife and kids leaving you. Everyone laughing at you. What you going to do?

Probably me looking into it too much but he looks defeated, (not just football), I just hope hes ok. Imagine having all that success, then BANG, nothing. It could destroy a man.
Yep, it's obviously funny City are losing but not so great someone losing their mind. But I guess that's what can happen when you're so married to something and a win feels great but a loss feels like it ruins your whole life. I get like it with Liverpool, our lass doesn't understand it but just feels like they're engrained in me.

I have no ill feelings towards Pep. Hes a brilliant manager and conduct himself well IMO. Do I enjoy seeing City on a bad run of form? Of course. Do I enjoy seeing Peps deteriorating mental state. Not really. The top managers are obsessive and hes certainly that. Perhaps not healthy when you are winning and certainly not when you're losing.

I just wish they could eradicate the simulation, yes it was a penalty but they should also give a player a yellow card for the simulation. If it turns out he's injured and has to come off they can wipe the card. I watch players in hockey get their legs absolutely smashed to the point they are not playing again that season and not once have I seen a player roll around on the floor. If they are rolling about in football they ain't hurt, it's the clearest indication they are fine. Look at VVD when his knee was done, he knew straight away and no rolly polly all over the ground.
