Typical. Southampton playing like prime Madrid. Or utd just not in it tonight? Amorim said he will find out more about this squad tonight than he would have last few games.

It has been like this for ages now. Turn up for Liverpool, City and Arsenal then the players have their feet up for Wolves and Southampton!
Exactly. He'll never be defensively solid enough to play at wing back, and his passing and awareness is nowhere near good enough to play No10.
We are so, so wobbly in defence. They just retreat and invite pressure...

Latter for me. They’re able to get up for the bigger games as they are their cup finals now.
They simply aren’t good enough to be able to do it week in week out.
adam - I don't think that's the case. They don't know what to do in this system when the onus is on them to attack - you heard Amorim talk about the anxiety in the players and how that feeds into the crowd and back to the players. They are all trying but playing with a lot of tension. The coach also said this week how its much harder to coach the offensive aspects. This is going to take a lot of time and we need to be patient.

Onana is really keeping Man Utd in this game. Maybe they can hold out for a draw.

Observations in this game so far:
Hojlund is offering very little, Zirkzee can't be much worse.
Amad is stuck defending so isn't offering much of a threat at the moment.
Yoro has been disappointing so far and struggled defending his side.
Garnacho isn't a number 10 and is making a mess of things.
... and there's the Southampton goal
