I'm not going to defend Newcastle's performance but City played well and I think a lot of the issues with Newcastle's defending were caused by the movement and positions City's forwards picked up.

Yes Newcastle should have done better but the first goal comes from Haaland dropping deep, bringing Burn with him and creating the space for Marmoush. And whether a partial consequence of the first goal, nobody comes out to engage Marmoush for the 3rd goal, leaving him in acres of space to be picked out.

We tried to play the same as we did against Arsenal, with one of our centre backs stepping out, problem is against Arsenal we played with 3 centre backs, it was suicide to do it with 2 against city
