Every Newcastle fan knew this was a horrible start to the season, we have played 4 of last seasons top 8 in our first 4 games, teams that we also generally don’t do well against(City, Liverpool and Brighton). We dont seem to be able to finish chances at the minute, last week had chances to put Liverpool to bed and today we had 2 good chances before Brighton scored, our luck will hopefully change soon.

But pretty rubbish few weeks and now the internationally boring break. We need to shape up and get a grip. Losing the City and Liverpool is not the worst... but Brighton are direct rivals in a way... and we need a bounce back which just didn't even look likely today.

Our press, work rate and intensity was a massive part of our game and our identity last season, it seems this season we want to try and play football without the work rate energy and intensity. Howe does need to get a grip of the strolling around, and also needs to now stop with the favouritism of last seasons players, Fully expect Hall, Barnes to start the next game in place of Burn and Miggy and possibly Longstaff for big Jo.
