You dream of having a keeper as good. If it wasn't for the over the top bitterness and hatred because of Sunderland he would be wearing your shirt now and you would have a much better goalkeeper.
I more dislike him for the way he acted during one of our games. Giving it the big stacks only to be silenced a few moments later.
It bothers you that he gave it the big one then lost anyway? That's a lot of hate to carry over nothing. I could understand the dislike if he ended a player like he did VVD but being a clown and being shown up is hardly grounds for anything other than laughter.
He’s a ***** and not just when he played against us and he’s genuinely seems to be disliked by a lot more people on here.

So you have gone from giving your one reason to everyone else doesn't like him. I'm fine with people not liking a comedy figure, it's when they use that hate to convince themselves he's not the best keeper we have. They over highlight any tiny mistake while ignoring the other English Keepers and he has played in an absolutely terrible side with some of the worst defenders I've seen at the club.
My reason still valid. He’s a ***** but it’s makes it good banter. He pulled off some amazing saves last season.
Pope for example brilliant keeper but he can’t kick for ****. One of the reason we got champion league pulled off some wonderful saves in tight games.
Pass the ball back to him and watch him **** himself.
Heck after watching a lot of the early games I think a lot of keepers are off to a bad start lol
I have a dislike of Pickford and don't think he's good enough, a few good saves here and there isn't enough to convince me he's good enough but as dannyjo says he's currently the best performing English goalkeeper we have (even a broken clock is right twice a day!) plus he hasn't let England down that I can remember, same with Maguire, Southgate's negative tactics play the way that compliments players like Maguire and when they do eventually break through Pickford is mainly up to the task of stopping them so it looks good, problem is if we get another manager in that wants to play on the front foot it eposes Maguire massively (like what's happened at Man U).
The main issue for me is the lack of good English goalkeepers which means Pickford is at the top of the tree unfortunately.
