IIRc he's on that now and reportedly wants double that to sign a new deal with the Ev - prob be closer to 250k a week if you lot were to be in for him.Pickford would quite happily play for 100k a week and De Gea is on 350k.
Alvarez is outrageous as a second choice striker. He's arguably the third best in the league behind Haaland and Kane
agreed, you have to wonder how long he'll be happy to play 2nd fiddleAlvarez is outrageous as a second choice striker. He's arguably the third best in the league behind Haaland and Kane
I reckon they'll start to phase out Mahrez for him next season, and he can also play in place of KDB and Haaland . I'm expecting him to start more often than not next year, especially if Bernardo leavesagreed, you have to wonder how long he'll be happy to play 2nd fiddle
Cracking achievement by BrightonThis team man. 6th is incredible. I can only dream next season is as good!
It must be an emotional roller coaster, seeing your team doing so well but knowing the vultures are going to pick you apart over the next 12-18 months. This team man. 6th is incredible. I can only dream next season is as good!
That’s one of the things that used to **** me off under the old ownership, when we unearthed one of the few gems, they were snatched up the following seasonIt must be an emotional roller coaster, seeing your team doing so well but knowing the vultures are going to pick you apart over the next 12-18 months.

Your owner being smart is more important than him being a fan. Although all clubs will use stats and data to a degree in their scouting and recruitment, only a handful are really dedicated to it, putting in the resources and trusting the findings. In time that will change though and just the other day I was reading stories about how Spurs are in talks with people from the gambling industry to create their own data model. It'll be interesting to see how long Brighton can stay ahead of the curve though. To be honest, kinda felt the same last year.
We lost Cucu and Bissouma who were both great for us last season. We lost Trossard for half a season. Potter got poached. We rebuilt better, but I was sure that was our peak.
I realise it can’t continue forever, but I don’t think many could argue against us being one of the best run football teams going. Guess it makes a difference the owner is a fan!
True. Never forget that Mike Ashley was a Newcastle fan lolYour owner being smart is more important than him being a fan. I don't think he even liked football, he certainly didn't know much about it. He was definitely not a Newcastle fan.I thought he was a Spurs fan.
