Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [24th - 25th August 2024] + League Cup fixtures

Obviously the ref and the var officials who know a lot more about the rules than us thought a yellow card was more than enough.

You see it every week. It’s not Joelinton’s fault he’s an absolute unit and the sheer presence of the man has people flinging themselves to ground.

Poor lad was fouled all game.

Newcastle got extremely lucky yesterday after a pretty average performance, last 20 mins aside. They look devoid of ideas and the players look knackered already.
Yeah something looks off with the team, the team looks stale and shows why you need to bring in new faces, hopefully the balance is different when Sandro is back next week.

Take a look at the back line and the RW yesterday.

Two hybrid CB’s who are required to play out from the back but **** themselves when they are closed down.

Murphy give the ball away something like 16 times in the first half.

Hall and tripper coming on and Gordon moving to RW give us an avenue to play out from. Only for Neto pulling off two fantastic saves we have been wining.

I’m so glad to see Pope back mind!!

Pretty much everyone who has seen that apart from the ref, Gallagher and Bigpig think that's a red all day long. How can they get it so wrong, his forearm hits him in the throat ffs.
