At Utd? Yes. It's crystal clear that ETH has been the driving force behind the players you've signed and trying to claim otherwise is 'playing dumb'. As for the question about him waiting - you were linked with him all summer but the deal didn't happen until late on because the club didn't want to pay the stupid fee Ajax were demanding but they ultimately did because that's who the manager wanted.

Have you honestly seen the team he has fielded today because we have zero options. We didn't get anyone in the January window when we were crying out for players.

It is just one massive mess end of. ETH is about the 80th problem on the list of things that need doing to Manchester United as club.

I have no doubt ETH is suggesting names because the rest of our structure does nothing but wait for agents to come to them (hence Casemiro) But suggesting ETH was the driving force behind paying 80m on him is absolutely nuts, it was clearly a last minute panic just like Casemiro. if it was ETH's call it would have happened far, far earlier in the summer.

Involved is not the same as being responsible is it. Recruitment is the responsibility of the DoF at well over 95% of top division clubs. ETH suggests players that he thinks can play our style and our recruitment team is meant to suggest alternatives. The problem is they don't do the second part so we're entirely reliant on who ETH knows. No other manager is having to be lead scout in addition to head coach.

Given that the vast majority of your signings have either directly played under him or from the Dutch League it's fairly clear that he's lead your recruitment and I'm genuinely amazed that you're objecting to this. It's been a running joke, even amongst Utd fans, for over a year now. Will the manager personally be negotiating the deal? No (although there's all sorts of stories about his agent being involved in a lot of Utd deals) but the money men at the club are negotiating fees for players that he's choosing.

You're just twisting and turning now. You made a silly post in reply to @robfosters about only Onana (of his signings) being involved today, probably forgetting that his biggest and worst signing was sat on the bench because he's so bad (proving Rob's point) that he can't get in the side despite no senior alternative being available.

Anyway I'm not going down this hole any further.
