Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [25th - 27th August 2023]

Adding 15 mins on for every game played, I'm sure nothing can go wrong with this system right?
As a spectacle I quite like it. As an antidote to time wasting it is having an effect. The downside is that squads will end up playing 10-15% more game time and as a result we will see more fatigue and injury. It will again favour the bigger budget teams who can have the depth of quality.

City are going to stroll to the league title again. They’re not even going to get into 2nd gear

Hate to agree with that but I think it's correct, not many teams are filling me with any confidence that they will challenge. Doku signing went under the radar too. Another good bit of business for them.

Made a meal of that no disrespect but should be steam rolling Forest 4-5-0 just not good enough.

This match answers nothing for me.

Forest were a team ravaged by injuries last season but showed great spirit with their home record. They have got a dangerous attack now and I can easily see Forest pushing for a top half finish this season. Steve Cooper is doing a good job.

I really cannot see anyone matching City this season though. Arsenal of last season was a freak result. They will be a lot closer to the following pack this season.

To be fair I thought we played well, the Wolves keeper had a blinder and made 3 or 4 amazing saves.

In other news, we’re only 7 points off being top.
They might as well approach Chelsea to pay half of Lukaku's wages. They either go bust paying that or next year anyway. A team might be able to get survival with 20 points at this rate.
