Jesus christ, this is like Olympic diving, they're dropping as soon as anyone goes near them.
But he clearly thought he'd been fouled and was throwing it to where the free kick would have been taken from. It wasn't like he threw it in dissent
I would if I was Klopp, Trent could mistime a tackle, have a temper yellow or even a yellow for timewasting at a throwin later in the game, all of which would now be a red.

Yeah, it was a foul. We want 22 players on the pitch though, and it to be fiery and competitive, a red card kills all that. Petulant and cynical fouls from Trent, nothing dangerous though.
