There's one angle where Bowen entirely blocks the ball, and another which is a million miles away and not remotely in line. You can't tell.

The ball was completely behind his leg which was way out, and then it moves out of sight, hidden by his leg even further out of play.

That aspect of VAR needs sorting. Better camera setups on the lines

But surely if the camera is exactly in line, and you can see the whole ball behind the goalposts, it's out? If you can't see the whole ball as it's blocked by the posts, it's in


The issue is not having two cameras which are bang in line. Why they don't just stick a camera on each corner flag I don't know - they do it with the stumps in cricket
