Bit early days for that, but he needs to get the team ticking a bit. It's all well and good waiting until pre-season and some new signings etc, but the pressure is going to be insane. He's only been here for a few games and already people are losing their minds.

We were pretty lame in SAF's last season but still good enough to win a title. The football was pedestrian.

Amorim is shining a light on just how poor this squad is in terms of competing in this league. I think it strengthens his hand in January to expose the folly of Casemiro, Eriksen, Rashford and maybe even Maguire (he plays too far back in this style). Amad wasn't even in the eqaution this time last season and now he looks the only player befitting of the shirt. The worry is that Ineos don't back him in getting rid of some players and bringing in more or promoting from the U21s. I'm still confident he will get things moving int he right direction.

You bring in a manager who plays a system then you accept that thats the system you are going to try and play. If that manager has spent his entire career playing that system then playing a completely different one is probably not going to be great.

He shouldn't have taken over mid-season realistically. He will need to be given some funds this January and he will need to start to string some results together at some point. He will get the season unless we genuinely end up in a relegation battle.
