Salah in that interview there when askesd "are we able to give some news about the contract" - "no we are far away from that"

Wonder how "far" away, far away is.

I’ll be glad when it’s either announced there staying or going each interview is becoming tiresome on the contract subjects

They have to be deep into negotiations, it surely can’t be that far.

How far away can Liverpool be with the penny pinching? He’s got to be wanting >350k p/w right, to make him the highest paid player in the league. What are they offering him? It just seems nuts.

They’ve also got TAA and VvD in the same situation. Really bad planning from them.

Think the problem was that everything stopped when Koop announced he was leaving and the players have perhaps waited to see how the club would go once we appointed Slot.

For anyone that still thinks we're not a bigger media pull than anyone else. Has any player being or not being in the squad gotten as much coverage as Rashford has ion the last month? So many articles, tweets, at least 10 questions every press conference about it. I've never seen anything like it.

That midfield is likely to get murdered. Casemiro and Eriksen have precisely 0.5 players worth of energy and mobility between them. Shame Ugarte is suspended for this one.

True but they do have a lot of experience which may carry them through 45 minutes. Having said that I have the lowest hope of us getting anything out of tonight. Toon are in form after a patchy start to the season and they are a big strong physical side. Something we are most definitely not. It's hard to see where a United goal comes from - for all my Bruno criticism, he does create the majority of our goals (such as that is) and I've seen nothing in Zirkzee that suggests he has that creativity. I expect us to lose.

At least I can flick over to the darts if its a shallacking.
