You do realise we weren't given the clearest, most obvious penalty going just 2 games ago vs Arsenal and went 11 months without being awarded a penalty between April '22 and March '23? I know you love a conspiracy theory but the idea that Anfield had anything to do with the decisions is nonsense. People won't like the Jota one because he could have stayed up (I have no idea other than people paying attention to that moron Neville, why there's even a discussion about the Diaz one) but until officials start giving fouls when players stay on their feet, I never have and never will have any problem with players going down when tripped.but those 2 penalties are perfect examples of penalties that are only given at anfield to the home team, the foul on Longstaff wasn’t even checked and was as much of a penalty as the other 2.
The Longstaff appeal would have been checked by VAR. It wasn't given onfield and because it wasn't clearly and obviously wrong (not that I agree with this but the fact he loses possession meant it was never going to be given also), VAR were not going to overrule the official.
