He didn't look offside to me. It was 100% a foul on Gabriel though.

VAR misguided the game a lot more than the ref. He did well when surrounded by clowns for a normal foul

Apparently wasn't enough contact to disallow the goal.
Also offside lines couldn't be drawn, due to too many bodies in the box/way.
