Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [4th - 6th November 2023]

Missed the first half as I've been for a run, but from the looks of the live text Spurs have conceded a red card and a penalty and despite that still had the rub of the green on most big decisions?
Could be 3-1 and 10 v 9, most bonkers half of football I've watched since the Spain v Holland WC final so hopefully the second half continues like that game did.

Raging. Decided not to watch the footy tonight and instead have an evening with the wife. Seems I’m missing a mental game of football. I think date night will have to be put on hold for the second half!
Second half will not be as interesting. Once Chelsea score it’s over.

Just seen the summary at half time. For me Udogie is lucky but I can see why it wasn't given. Ridiculous that the Caicedo goal wasn't given but it makes no difference with the pen.

Not really, I mean Romero should have or could have been gone twice, and he is gone, he also did a Beckham kick and got away with it but Chelsea could also have had 2 red cards too.

Also Udogie 2 foot of the ground lunge should have been sent off as well!

James one i’d need to see again but that could have been given as well!!

I’m more surprised he thought lashing out and kicking someone isn’t a red.

That said, on the Udogie one, it's insane that if Sterling stands there and gets munched he wins a red card for his team. It should be down to the action not the outcome

Can't remember the last time I saw a game with 2 goals, 4 disallowed goals, 1 red card and about 5 potential red card VAR checks... in one half.

:D

Romero? It's one of those that if it's given then fair enough, he can have no complaints, but realistically it's a bit much to call it lashing out, he was basically playing footsie. And as a Liverpool fan I'd love to see Spurs get done by the refs!

It's a real issue. That is a leg breaker if it's sterling's planted leg. It's reckless and endangers the player.

It's the same problem as with diving. Refs won't give anything unless a player goes down, so there's no incentive to stay upright
