Yeah, the wage bill comparisons are not an argument. Our wage bill is actually £30m a year more than yours. What is Liverpool's wage bill compared to Arsenal?

Two best managers in the Premiership era going head to head with an almost equal record, what's not to love.
I thought I saw something recently which showed City and Liverpool having loads more. I can't find it and it appears I was talking rubbish as everything says the opposite.Yeah, the wage bill comparisons are not an argument. Our wage bill is actually £30m a year more than yours.
Nah, I saw something similar on twitter recently too- it's been mentioned a fair bit but our wage bill jumps depending on if we win anything as a lot of the contracts are incentive based.I thought I saw something recently which showed City and Liverpool having loads more. Yesterdays game is going to haunt my week. Probably the most important match since our playoff game, pretty much guarantees us 5th place, keeps momentum going for Conference league home leg and we didn't even show up. I've never felt so abysmal leaving a match. We've thrown the luxury of breathing space and will spend the rest of the season looking over our shoulder.
I’d still rather be in Villa’s position that Spurs’. Tottenham have still got to play Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea so that game in hand isn’t going to count for much.

What has he said about the non pen for Liverpool yesterday, considering he said the Celtic red last week was correct all be it a soft one I guess he has said stonewall penGallagher just explained that VAR can only point out suspected simulation to the ref if the referee has given the penalty. Because the ref didn’t give Havertz the penalty, VAR can only confirm the refs decision. It can’t be recommending second yellows for diving.

Usual waffle, thought it was a pen but can understand why it wasnt because he got the ball 1st even thoWhat has he said about the non pen for Liverpool yesterday, considering he said the Celtic red last week was correct all be it a soft one I guess he has said stonewall pen
The only slight mitigation I can think is that it seems that it was the side of the foot rather than studs. However, definitely seen them given and my feeling is it should have been given.Usual waffle, thought it was a pen but can understand why it wasnt because he got the ball 1st even tho
A) it's irrelevant if he got the ball 1st its still a foul as per pl rules
And more importantly
B) he didn't get the ball 1st

This seasons figures won't be available for around 10-12 months but as of last season we were paying over £100m per season more than Arsenal. Both sides will no doubt have lots of clauses in contracts relating to CL qualification which will see that difference narrow but I'd be amazed if we weren't still paying more than Arsenal this season.Nah, I saw something similar on twitter recently too- it's been mentioned a fair bit but our wage bill jumps depending on if we win anything as a lot of the contracts are incentive based.
The one I saw was up to the end of 22/23 season, I'm not entirely sure if it included the likes of Saka's bumper new paydeal as an example. This seasons figures won't be available for around 10-12 months but as of last season we were paying over £100m per season more than Arsenal. Arsenal's 22/23 wages were £235m, ours were £374m. As I said, the majority of players in both squads will have clauses relating to CL qualification which will see Arsenal's rise (along with pay increases to the likes of Saka etc) and ours fall however I'd be surprised if that £140m gap completely closes. The one I saw was up to the end of 22/23 season, I'm not entirely sure if it included the likes of Saka's bumper new paydeal as an example.
Red all day long, no idea if he meant to 'leave one on him' but if I was a villa fan I'd be ****** they are now missing a pretty important player for a large chunk of the run inLots of talk saying Mcgin should be a yellow and the game is soft if that is a red..etc. I think challenges like that have to be red, otherwise it is a free pass to kick lumps out of a player with yellow as the ceiling. It clearly wasn’t a missed timed tackle and went with the intent to leave a mark on the player due to frustration. Very different to a professional foul when you just want to break up play for me (as much as I hate a cynical foul and would like them to be punished more). What did others think?
