Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [11th - 15th January 2019]

Spurs should've won with the amount of chances they had but some awful finishing and some great saves meant it just wasn't to be.

Cheers United, cheers DDG and cheers Harry Kane :)

Haha, what a result :D

Most enjoyable and tense game for a long time.

As well as De Gea's played, I can't think of one save he's made that you wouldn't expect a decent keeper to make. The possibly exception being the Alderweireld save which was just an instinctive one where you just hope it hits you.

A couple of them with his feet were more unusual.

Shoddy finishing that, if Chelsea don’t get a striker then I reckon a top 4 spot is up for grabs for Utd.

Shots on target only 11 - 8 in Spurs favour. Makes a big difference if you can't shoot straight.

Two horse race now for the title.

As if it wasn't already clear, this shows how poor a manager Mourinho really is.

Six in a row. I actually don't think Dave had many tough saves to make today, most of them were pretty routine. It was far tougher against Arsenal last year.

Can't complain though, six in a row for Ole. :)

United had their share of chances and should have really been 2-0 up before spurs pressure at the end

Top 4 for us looking increasingly less likely with United joining the party, if Chelsea manage to sign a striker we're screwed.

Chelsea next weekend is a must win.

The second Sissoko isn't there to bail out Trippier he ****s up and plays a blind pass and gifts them a goal. Even worse given that was the difference too.

If Ole gets the job, he needs to be surrounded by experienced and adaptable tacticians. He's got the perfect attitude for the club, I'm just not sure about his game management. That second half was survived on a lot of luck and passion. Those two only last so long.

A director of football is a given necessity.
