Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [11th - 16th September 2015]

Who the hell is liverpools defensive coach. He wants shooting. What a terribly hilarious game so far.

65% possession and not a single shot. This system is just terrible, we have a host of great passers and nothing up front. Either try Martial or stick Depay up front and bring Young on?

Exactly

absolutely horrible, too static and when we have the ball there is no speed in the attack /delaying the pass too long

All credit to BR for setting out as defensive a team as possible, admittedly he might not have much choice (although Utd's **** play has its own role), but City .....even Chelsea would have punished at least one of those defensive errors in that half

Both teams have looked bad. Such a boring half of football!

Utd look terrible upfront while playing Fellaini as a lead striker. Liverpool look dire everywhere on the pitch with a was it 40mil striker starting upfront and another striker they bought in support of him.

Utd in defense/midfield are winning 50/50's with ease, they are passing pretty well, moving okay. Shaw, Bastian are bursting forwards well but everything falls apart with Fellaini doing a Rooney impression and dropping deep so often.

I'm really not sure why Fellaini upfront, why not play Depay upfront, Young out wide and Fellaini behind Depay.. if you have to play Fellaini that is.

Either way, Liverpool were several levels of 'bad' worse than Utd in that half. Although Bastian almost caused what would have been an epic own goal to be scored. SEriously though Bastian lacks pace but not effort, he closed down there and Fellaini should have been closing the keeper and could maybe have nicked a goal. Instead Bastian is closing down several players and Fellaini is just watching without really taking part.

Thats probably the worst 45mins of a Man Utd v Liverpool match I've ever seen. Looking at those 2 teams, you would never believe what their combined silverware haul is.

As for us specifically, we've been poor, loads of misplaced balls. Lucas should have been booked by now for repeated fouling and he gave the ball directly to a man utd player 4 times in that half. Hard to see how we will break through and score against Utd here. Perhaps Origi might just bring something a little unexpected.

What a ****ing terrible game of football this is.

Oh how the mighty have fallen (that's aimed at both teams).

Ings at left back, well done Brenda.

Liverpool playing to not lose, is that what's going to happen every game because Brenda is too ****ing scared? It's time he went.

How ironic the Jag ad comes on saying time for a change, a new plan.
