Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [11th - 16th September 2015]

Seriously, Fabregas hasn't been bad defensively but they've complained about him every game on the basis of things like his inability to tackle, despite making more tackles than any of the players they love(matic, terry, Cahill, etc). Then they started talking about how great Chelsea look in midfield because Mikel is playing when for me, Everton are so far on top it's hilarious.

holy, crap, 2-0. LIterally as I'm typing their midfield is utterly run rings around. Mikel getting no where, Matic no where. Great goal, great passing, Chelsea.... uh oh.

Mourinho already talking about how he wouldn't be fired before the game. This is classic Mourinho sides except he's usually smart enough to jump ship a year earlier.


EDIT:- 5 minutes ago they were as I said talking up how solid Matic/Mikel was and how improved it was over Fabregas... now they are saying 2-0 down they need to make changes from the bench.... god I hate how awful pundits are. They have an agenda, push it for ages and change their mind 5 minutes later after being made to look stupid with what they said earlier.
 
I thought this was a good time to play Chelsea, but I didn't expect this!!!

Every Mourinho team, loses fluidity upfront, becomes disjointed. When the offence isn't ticking everyone else looks more under pressure. He usually spends his way out of trouble for three years by bringing in fresh offensive players. He didn't buy enough fresh players this year for upfront and frankly Chelsea this time were a much more defensive side to begin with, his overly defensive attitude hasn't taken as long to destroy the team.

Really feeling Mourinho will be pushed out the door again this year.
 
I haven't seen anything of him recently but if he's been **** for a while 2 goals against relegation candidates won't change that fact.
 
Costa is constantly drifting out wide, Hazard isn't really running forward. In one of those last attacks he was basically in line with the back four and just walking forward. The ball repeatedly ends up long to Costa out wide and with Costa having literally no one to cross or pass to in the middle at all.

How can you win games with Costa the only player in the final third, out by the corner flag and no one in the middle AND no one breaking their neck to get into the box? Utterly absurd play from Chelsea.
 
Good goal, terrible defending, haven't kept pressure up and this is what happens.
