Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [11th April - 16th April 2014]

Apart from Chelsea (who really need to win if they want to be in with a chance) I have a hard time believing Liverpool will do anything other than win against Norwich and Newcastle. Palace will be and probably already are safe from relegation so they'll have nothing to play for either.

Liverpool v Newcastle is going to be traumatic :(

Get the **** in!

Victor ****ing Moses? 89th minute and we're hanging on and you bring Victor Moses on? Had we not won, I'd have hunted Rodgers down.
if liverpool do win, would moses get a medal?

I've worked harder than him! If he gets a medal then I want 1 too.
Shoudl have been a draw with a penalty and possibly a red in the final minute

Who gives a **** Frank? :D

Think we were extremely lucky to win today but City were very lucky to win the first game. Second half was a complete managerial farce from Rodgers, didn't do anything to stop the momentum City were building before they scored, didn't take off the useless Sturridge when they did and didn't address the problem down our left with City doubling up on Flanagan. But...

... we won and that's all that matters :D

Ah **** off pigeon he can't control everything going on the pitch

You 2 should be celebrating like mad, not bickering. Jeez.

My uncle said at the start of the season they might challenge and I laughed but as he said - the manager's settled in now, no european games to worry about and Suarez will be fresher than most because of the games he missed at the start. Worked out very well.

People just seem to want complete and utter perfection in every win these days, with every substition being immaculately timed in counter to what the other team are doing.

Madness.

What a game and what a first half. Henderson being banned is a blow but he has looked a bit tired recently, Allen should be able to slot in pretty easily.

The Moses sub made sense, he wanted someone to get the ball and retain it up top. Granted he gave it away with his first touch but still

Maybe but this is a pretty common theme with us. Rodgers takes too long to change things at times. It was clear before City got their first that they were starting to take control of the game and at worst we needed to switch to a 4-3-3, with Sterling and Suarez helping out the full backs but we stuck with the diamond and their first came as a direct result of that. They were exposing Flanagan at every opportunity.

The Moses sub was crazy imo. He's the laziest ****er to have ever played for us. We should have brought Lucas on instead and stuck him in front of Flanagan.

Anyway as I just said, who cares now?

Had we been bringing on Sterling to do that job then fair enough. Moses is a lazy **** and constantly gives the ball away though.

Let's just be clear here - if Liverpool do win the title, is it all we're going to hear about for the next 30 years regardless of how they do in future?
