Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [11th April - 16th April 2014]

Christ, that Bale goal's amazing. I've never ever seen a player knock the ball past a defender then score a goal, never. What we have witnessed tonight will go down in history as one of the defining moments of football. Bale is superhuman no question about it.

:D

Surprised he had the energy after walking all the way there:p:o

Back down where you belong Everton the would be pretenders to 4th place:p. What a result for Palace though, thought they would maybe at least come away with a draw but a win is simply amazing. The Tony Pulis effect i guess...thank god we arent playing them again as they look very very good now compared to the mess they were earlier this season.

LOLCity, how you drop 2 pts against relegation fodder like Sunderland is truly beyond me. Mind you seems like Sunderland is their bogey team this yr, beating them once and almost beating them again tonight.

Title is now between Chelsea and Liverpool imo, City dropped a huge clanger tonight and having Toure out for at least 2 weeks is not going to do them any good.

Us:
Hull (a), Newcastle (h), West Brom (h), Norwich (a)

Everton:
United (h), Southampton (a), Man City (h), Hull (a)

We can dooooo eeeeet. Hopefully the return of the mighty Diaby will give us a strong finish.

Wow, The City result helps us out massively but also highlights how we cannot take games left for granted, all four games will not be easy by any stretch.

Missed the everton game... did they have a bad game or palace play really well?

Lukaku do much? Some games he seems to do very little

He did naff all. Apart from trying and succeeding on occasion to pick the ball up on the half way line, which was infuriating, he did nothing what so ever.

This would be brilliant, the media would explode with hatred as their Liverpool ****fest came to a bitter anti-climax:p

This has been a little sickening recently

Big question is who has more important players out - Liverpool with Sturridge & Hendo or Chelsea with Hazard (presume the latter is going to miss the match, havent heard much on his injury since it happened)

Why? As a neutral this years title race has been the most interesting in ages, and Liverpool are playing pretty exciting football that is incredibly entertaining to watch, Chelsea somehow are holding on whilst playing pretty dull football, and knowing how good Morinho is tactically is going to take things down to the wire, and City despite the recent setback are still a great team and are also entertaining to watch. Can't remember the last time I said that about the premiership.

I think I'd rather have Liverpool or City win this season. Both play exciting attacking football. Chelsea and Maureen play such dull, boring football.
Definitely best season in ages, even the bottom is extremely close, could be any number of 6-7 teams going down :)

This would be an amazing way to finish the season. :D

The "Chelsea way" to finish the season, based on this year's form, would be for us to win against Liverpool with a classic Jose Mourinho counter-attacking masterclass. Then lose 1-0 away to Cardiff on the last day to throw away the title.
