Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [13 - 17th April 2013]

I still didn't believe you so worked it out myself and yeah you are right :p

Not gonna happen though unfortunately what with the way Spurs are playing :(

Take a bow Luiz, gotta say the Spanish Waitor has led Chelsea to some pretty impressive away wins (I figured this had draw written all over it, not a comfortable Chelsea win)

EDIT: Mata is so special, fast becoming my player of the year tbh

tbh the draw didn't make that much difference needed 7 points before the game would have to get a result from 3 games either way

I don't really have a problem with the result per-say (away to West Ham is always a tough game, hell we've drew 2-2 there already this season) what is disappointing is its more dropped points as we stumble over the finishing line. The players just haven't looked up for it since we were knocked out of Europe :(

On a scale of 1-10 in the disappointed stake though tonight has nothing on that weak performance against City :(

Manchester United have looked very poor bar a few performances since they were knocked out of Europe, maybe it is something to do with what the club feel was a miscarriage of justice and that the players and staff are still basically butt hurt or feeling a hangover from that.

I also didn't see the funny side of Carroll charging through Evra in to De Gea, unlike Sky, I thought it was dangerous and Carroll with that and several other instances was very lucky to remain on the pitch.

I hear our 1st was a cracker last night and JT nicked the 3rd off Torres?
Stupid restricted view seats...

Conspiracy: Fergie has privately told the players that he is retiring at the end of the season, hence the slump in desire/performance? :p

Lol good result against wham? Its no tougher playing them than any other bottom half of the table team . Of course that is a terribad result for us.

But its hardly a new type it of result or performance as we are quickly becoming accustomed to this dross right now.

The players clearly lack motivation and ability and a lot of that is down to the big man himself. I guess there's a reason why the richest club in the world will effectively limp home to the title after being ko d from all other competitions showing only minor progression from our summary achievements of last year which were scant to say the least.

To be fair, it must be near on impossible for the players to be motivated, when they know they've pretty much won the league already. They literally have nothing left to play for this season.

It certainly was a cracker:

Oh David.

Good header from Torres but if JT hadn't helped it in then the defender would most probably have cleared it off the line.
