The problem with optimists is that after a season like last we go, don't worry its just a hiccup and don't fix what's broken, which is exactly whats happened.

You yourself have stated that we are playing in a dire fashion. This isn't a one off its a recurrent theme. Games against west ham have become tougher because they have improved and w really haven't .

In previous years our team ethic and well drilled nature meant that we could be more than the sum of our parts with a core of stars like Rooney and Rio and scholes helped out by the odd donkey like Valencia. Now the quality of our team has regressed and we don't even perform regularly to the sum of those parts, often less.

But you did also say after the last match, 'why can't we just play well' (paraphrased) which I would day goes not just for the weekend game but for many games now.

So on one hand your critical but on the other you want supporters to be apathetic?

If fergie came out and spoke as truthfully as Carlo ancelotti does when PSG under perform I could accept it. That he knows and will try to fix it. Not hide behind excuses blaming the ref or something oddball as he has a tendency to..

Complacency in performance levels only playing well when you have to but even then only in fits and spurts ?

Complacency is picking substandard players I.e defenders in Medfield, centre backs at right back?

Playing danny welbeck? 1 goal 4 assists in 1217 minutes in the EPL.
Compare to sturridge 5 goals, 3 assists in 856 mins and even then Chelsea knew they had to sell him because he isn't demba ba or someone top notch.

Yet we play welbeck like he's going out of fashion.

On Kagawa's substitution Wednesday night Fergie has conceded the decision was made before the second goal and that had he changed his mind and Kagawa stayed on the pitch he feels we may of won

I just wish he'd stop taking him off, he hasn't looked lacking in fitness particularly and if anything his style of play should be more effective in the latter stages of a game.

Well if Kagawa starts producing performances like he did Wednesday more often (which lets be honest was easily his best game to date) it wont be long before he is undroppable. Looking forward to seeing what he brings to us next season...

And tbf the next game after that was Real Madrid, he started the game after that against Chelsea I'd say that was his reward
