Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [13th - 15th August 2011]

I know it's only the first game of the season and we're missing Wilshere but this is predictably depressing. Why bother crossing it from wide if nobody is prepared to attack it? Why try and play through the middle when nobody wants to play a cheeky through-ball? WHYYYYY!!!11

We will lose this game, Arsenal style like we did at home last season unless they come out a far better side in the 2nd half.
 
61% possession in the first half but yet nothing to show for it at halftime:(...says it all about Arsenal...depressing stuff....
 
Defence is looking epic though. Compared to last season. Vermaelen's been rock solid, Chesney commanding as heck, and Kosc hasn't made any booboos :).

If kos, and I say if, can repeat his Barcelona first leg performance then we shouldn't have any troubles at the back this season.

Not just for one game though;)...we need him to be much more consistent in his defending...dunno but obv Wenger saw something in him and is hoping it pays off...

Looks like just a knock. Thought from the way he'd gone down that he'd twisted his knee. Heart in mouth.
