It was reported as an ankle injury but he had suffered mild concussion and been sent for a scan. He might miss Sunday's game.

I know people will want Cleverley thrown straight in but I'd be inclined just to take him out of the spot light for the time being (the English hype can get a bit to much). If Carrick doesn't make the game then by all means play him though

Indeed. He might as well be sold if he isn't going to be played. It's ridiculous, have some faith in him for goodness sake, we all know what he can do.
Totally agrree, might as well give Welbeck a good chance before Chicharito is cleared for playing
Have a suspicion that Carrick will be "injured" though - I would like to see Cleverley play in his place, but not sure he will.
Anyone know how Fletcher is doing training wise?
edit - of course it could also be argued that as its West Brom, why not try a young side (ie include Smalling instead of Rio, Cleverley instead of Carrick )......of course baring in mind its first game of the season, its away, and wanting a good start , throw on as much experience as you have available is also a good way to go)
