I think we've played very well this half, just De Gea really needs to improve his diving speed.

Also, we might actually be able to score from a corner or two this season with Young taking them.

What if he doesn't and lets in howlers like that all season? Worrying times to be honest. Maybe should have bought a prem keeper and had De Gea on the bench. 20 million doesn't get you much these days.

I have confidence in the lad, clearly still settling in to the type of game we play. No one mentions the saves he has done in the 2 games played so far.

Sorry but i have to answer back at this. Do you think a CM paring of delap whelan , Diao and Whitehead can pass the ball in the premier league? No they are all useless we have to play the way we do to survive in this league. If / when we sign better players we will be able to vary the play and be more expansive. Our best play is when we get the wingers into play. Thats kinda gard against chelsea dont you think.

Whelen came from Sheffield Wednesday and he's a good passer of the ball, he's not as good as some of the midfielder that the top sides have but he's a good passer of the ball. Whitehead again is a capable passer of the ball, you sound like you only employ these players to hassle the opposition midfield which I think does them and the fans a discredit, they're better then that.

And to expect us to play carpet football against chelsea's midfield? Come on ... We never play free flowing football but if you watch us against a team that is the same level as us (bolton) We play decent enough football, but these games are rarely on TV and dont have any coverage.

What stopping you playing free flowing football? You have the solid defence to build from?

I don't expect a side like Stoke to pass round Chelsea's midfield but I do expect them to give it a go, to try and not just resort to route one "hoooof", I can deal with being overly physical no problems, but not with the lack of attitude to at least try and play football the right way.

I mean look at Utd in the champions league they looked as useful as us with the ball when compared to Barca.

I don't understand this comparison? Chelsea didn't pass you to death, nor do they play anything like Barcelona? United played good football up until the final, where they could have played anything and the result would have been similar. Arsenal played football against Barcelona and were beaten quite easily over two legs.
