Yet again while Welbeck did well to potentially keep that in (though it probably did go out), he kept the ball and when he finally had a ridiculously easy pass to make, he managed to underhit a 5 yard pass and give the ball away. he really is entirely useless.

Also just worth noting, Reina should have correctly been sent off if he made contact with his headbutt or not. The dive didn't get him sent off Reina's own actions did.

He did hit him, there was multiple posts showing that. Not enough for him to be going down as he did but as DM said regardless of hitting him or not he was off for trying to nut him.

And before Shsmincomes steaming in trying to hold up his house of cards I said at the time (at least I'm pretty sure I did) that the dive was OTT and a bit silly.

Commentators said at the start than Brum were in a better position than Villa are now and McLeish managed to get them relegated. Anything is possible! :D
 
Good performance today, more so the first half but still. Rooney was seriously testing my patience time and time again every attacking move fell apart when he got on the ball no justice that he walks away from the game with 2 goals when Welbeck who was a million times more effective only got 1 goal (could have had 4 or 5 had it not been for some brilliant blocks by the Villa defenders first half)

So glad to see Nani back as well, whole second half performance lifted when he came on and instantly he showed yet again the difference between him and Young who bar the dive contributed next to nothing yet again

EDIT: One other thing I meant to mention was Berbatov, the fact he was on the bench today and came on makes me wonder if he's been injured all these weeks rather than just being left out because of some perceived hate campaign against him?
